Join our team as a Material Handler in Omaha, Nebraska, and play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This hands-on position involves a variety of tasks focused on receiving, storing, and preparing materials for distribution. You will be responsible for unloading incoming shipments, organizing inventory, picking and packing orders, and ensuring the smooth flow of products through our logistics process. A strong commitment to workplace Safety is essential, and you must consistently follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting and manual handling. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, reliable, and work well in a team environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
- Accurately stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications and delivery schedules.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and staging.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock management.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandated use of PPE.
- Support the overall efficiency of logistics operations through effective material handling.
- Perform duties that involve regular Lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred. Must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting and carrying of materials. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and material handling principles. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. Team player with good communication skills. A strong commitment to workplace Safety. Reliability and punctuality are essential.
