This position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all outgoing shipments, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on schedule. You will manage shipping documentation, coordinate with carriers, and maintain the efficiency of our shipping department. Responsibilities:
- Accurately process shipping orders, verifying details and quantities.
- Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other necessary documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain organized and accurate shipping records.
- Ensure that all packages are properly prepared and secured for transit.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and efficient shipping and receiving area.
- Support the overall goals of the logistics department through diligent and precise work.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related logistics role is advantageous.
- Familiarity with shipping software and common carrier systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to perform tasks that require standing for long periods and moderate Lifting.
- A dedication to Safety and following established procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Basic computer proficiency.
