As a Distribution Center Associate, you will play an integral role in the smooth operation of our facility, handling a variety of tasks related to the movement and storage of goods. Your responsibilities will include receiving incoming shipments, accurately stocking inventory, picking and packing orders, and preparing items for dispatch. We are looking for motivated individuals who are detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. You will work in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with team members to meet daily operational goals. Familiarity with warehouse equipment and inventory systems is a plus, and comprehensive training will be provided. A key aspect of this role is ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all processes, from receiving to shipping. The ability to handle moderate Lifting and to work on your feet for extended periods is essential. Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming merchandise.
- Stock shelves and organize inventory accurately.
- Pick customer orders using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Pack items securely for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational targets.
- Perform tasks involving significant Lifting and moving of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and a commitment to using PPE.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is beneficial.
