Seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Durham, North Carolina logistics hub. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move materials, load and unload trucks, and support various warehouse operations. You will ensure materials are stored properly, assist with inventory control, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. A strong commitment to safety, precision, and adherence to operational procedures is essential. This is a key position within our logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment.
- Ensure the safe and orderly storage of all inventory.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and documentation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow all logistics guidelines and operational standards.
- Be aware of Lifting capacities and restrictions.
- Participate in general warehouse housekeeping duties.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- At least one year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
