Responsibilities:
- Process all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in item count and destination.
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify that packages match order details before dispatch.
- Maintain organized shipping records and logs.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Ensure all items are packed securely and appropriately for transit.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE , such as gloves and safety glasses.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, potentially including some light Lifting .
- Understand and follow warehouse logistics best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in shipping software and order management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of shipping procedures and logistics .
- Knowledge of workplace safety and PPE requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform tasks involving occasional Lifting of up to 30 pounds.
