Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and investigate discrepancies, recommending corrective actions.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence.
- Oversee the receiving, put-away, and picking processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and operations teams to align inventory strategies with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory and safety .
- Train and guide warehouse staff on proper inventory handling and control procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce the correct use of PPE in all relevant warehouse areas.
- Report on key inventory metrics and performance indicators to management.
- Manage the process of identifying and dispositioning of slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in inventory control, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, logistics , and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in WMS software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve occasional Lifting of materials up to 40 pounds.
- Experience in implementing and managing PPE policies and procedures.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
