Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and store incoming shipments accurately.
- Sort and organize products for efficient retrieval.
- Pick customer orders using pick lists or scanning technology.
- Pack orders securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Load and unload trucks, managing the flow of goods.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification may be required).
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts.
- Uphold strict safety standards and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse upkeep and cleanliness.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
- Perform tasks that involve significant lifting and physical exertion.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50-75 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Commitment to safety, including the mandatory use of PPE.
