We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our Logistics team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments. Your duties will include unloading trucks, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and stocking items in their designated locations. A strong commitment to Safety procedures and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a must. This position involves physical work, including frequent Lifting of boxes and materials, so physical capability is important. You will be a critical link in our supply chain, ensuring that our warehouse is accurately stocked with the necessary goods. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and a reliable team player. We value accuracy and efficiency in all our Logistics operations. This role offers a stable work environment and competitive pay. Experience in a warehouse receiving role is a plus, but not mandatory as we provide on-the-job training. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Verify received goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect products for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Stock received items in appropriate warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to support Logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform tasks involving regular Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Experience in warehouse receiving or Logistics is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of Safety protocols and willingness to use PPE.
