We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our advanced logistics center in Raleigh, North Carolina. This crucial role involves overseeing and maintaining the accuracy of our inventory data and physical stock. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and ensuring the integrity of our warehouse management system. A strong understanding of inventory principles, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are essential for success. This position is key to optimizing our supply chain and ensuring efficient operations. We expect adherence to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting practices for any necessary physical tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on stock status.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure proper put-away and storage of inventory within the warehouse.
- Operate inventory management software and update records accurately.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize inventory flow.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with special projects related to inventory management and operational efficiency.
- May involve some lifting of inventory items, adhering to safe lifting techniques.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of inventory control principles and logistics best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree a plus.
