Join our bustling warehouse operations as a Receiving Clerk in Las Vegas, Nevada! In this vital role, you'll be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from the moment goods arrive. You'll be responsible for meticulously inspecting, documenting, and organizing all incoming inventory. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety are paramount. This position requires someone who can work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment and maintain organized records. Your contribution will directly impact the flow of products through our distribution network. We are committed to a safe workplace and expect all employees to adhere to safety protocols and utilize required PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify packing slips against purchase orders and report discrepancies.
- Accurately document all received goods into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Label and tag inventory items appropriately.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipment status.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of necessary PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Support the logistics team in ensuring smooth warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform manual lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving environment preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Knowledge of safety best practices, including proper lifting techniques.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual.
