We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring that raw materials, components, and finished goods are readily available for production and distribution. You will handle a variety of tasks, including receiving, storing, and dispatching materials, utilizing various equipment and techniques. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and all employees are expected to rigorously follow all safety procedures, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to proper lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Moving materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Storing materials in designated locations and ensuring proper organization.
- Assisting with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Preparing materials for shipment or production.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Following proper lifting guidelines to prevent injuries.
- Identifying and reporting damaged materials or equipment issues.
- Supporting logistics and supply chain operations as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting (up to 60 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
