We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. This role is critical for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the smooth functioning of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and managing stockroom organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming inventory items.
- Organize and maintain stockroom inventory in an efficient manner.
- Track stock levels and reorder points to prevent shortages.
- Generate inventory reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Support logistics team with inventory-related inquiries.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
