Join our dynamic logistics team in Portland, Oregon, as a Receiving Clerk! We are seeking organized and diligent individuals to manage the intake of goods into our warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include accurately receiving shipments, verifying inventory against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and properly logging all incoming materials. This role is fundamental to maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the smooth flow of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload incoming deliveries from various carriers.
- Verify quantities and specifications of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming items for any damage or defects.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Tag and stage received products for appropriate storage or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding receiving discrepancies or issues.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations through accurate and timely receiving.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, receiving, or inventory control role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and system navigation.
- Familiarity with safety best practices and the importance of using PPE.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
