We are looking for a reliable and diligent Material Handler to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials within the warehouse. This position requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork to ensure smooth operations in our fast-paced logistics environment. You will be operating various types of material handling equipment and maintaining accurate records of material movement.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials and products.
- Transport materials to and from production areas, staging areas, or other designated locations using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Conduct regular inspections of material handling equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Process documentation related to material movement and inventory.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds frequently.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read and understand shipping/receiving documents.
- Must be committed to wearing all required PPE.
