We have an immediate opening for a skilled Forklift Operator at our Cincinnati, Ohio location. This role is integral to our warehouse operations, focusing on the safe and efficient movement of materials. You will operate forklifts to transport goods, load and unload trucks, and assist with the placement of inventory. Maintaining a clean and safe work area, performing equipment checks, and adhering to all logistics protocols are essential. The ideal candidate possesses a strong safety record and a commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trailers and containers efficiently.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Ensure proper placement and organization of inventory.
- Assist with receiving and shipping documentation.
- Adhere to all company safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow all established logistics procedures and guidelines.
- Understand and respect Lifting limits and safe handling practices.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift certification and demonstrable experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and logistics operations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with other warehouse equipment is a plus.
