Our Fort Worth, Texas facility is looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to manage the incoming flow of goods. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all shipments are accurately received, inspected, and documented. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will be responsible for verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and preparing received goods for put-away or further processing. Maintaining a safe and orderly receiving area is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify quantities against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Accurately document all received goods using the warehouse management system.
- Report any discrepancies or damages immediately to the supervisor.
- Prepare goods for storage or distribution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving dock area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all logistics and company procedures related to receiving.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using basic computer systems and scanning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding logistics setting.
