We are hiring an efficient Order Picker for our busy New York City warehouse! This is a vital role in our logistics chain, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently locating and retrieving items from our extensive inventory to fulfill customer orders. Your ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment is crucial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or digital pick lists.
- Use scanning devices to track picked items and update inventory records.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping station.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and products are properly stored.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with stocking and replenishing inventory as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks or other equipment for moving larger items (training available).
- Meet daily picking targets and contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable with frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
