Responsibilities:
- Efficiently unload incoming freight and verify the accuracy of delivered items.
- Accurately record inventory data and ensure proper storage of goods.
- Select items from storage shelves to fulfill customer orders with high precision.
- Package items appropriately to prevent damage during transit, using various packaging materials.
- Prepare outbound shipments for delivery, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
- Maintain a tidy and safe workspace, consistently following all warehouse safety procedures.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, after successful completion of training.
- Assist with regular inventory checks and cycle counting to maintain stock accuracy.
- Contribute to team efforts to achieve operational targets and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
- Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including regular lifting of up to 50 lbs, and prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and occasional overtime.
- Adherence to all company safety policies and proper use of PPE is mandatory.
