We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is critical to the efficient movement of materials and products throughout our logistics facility. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers efficiently.
- Transport goods between different areas of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to safety regulations.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times and follow all safety procedures related to forklift operation and general warehouse safety.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Proven ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to wearing PPE and maintaining a safe work area.
