We are looking for a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our logistics operations in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and processing shipments, ensuring all goods leave our facility in perfect condition and with the correct documentation. Your duties will include verifying order details, packaging items securely, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. Attention to detail and a commitment to Safety are paramount. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure timely dispatch and maintain clear communication channels. This position offers a great opportunity to be a vital link in our supply chain and contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics network. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment, including providing necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Responsibilities:
- Verify outgoing orders against shipping documents.
- Package products securely and appropriately for shipment.
- Generate shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pick-ups with shipping carriers.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Communicate with warehouse staff and carriers regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the receiving process as needed.
- Uphold all Safety standards and protocols within the logistics environment.
- Contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient shipping area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a related logistics role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform some physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable wearing appropriate PPE.
