A career as a Senior Advisor in Software Asset Management in the Strategic Vendor Management team at National Bank means serving as a Software Asset Governance Specialist : licence compliance, cost optimisation and support stakeholders during contract reviews and negotiations with major suppliers. This position allows you to have a concrete impact thanks to your knowledge of software product management (perpetual licences, subscriptions and cloud services) and your ability to translate technical issues into sustainable solutions.
Your job
- Ensure compliance of software and cloud subscriptions across the enterprise.
- Develop strategies and processes to demonstrate licence ownership and compliance.
- Advise the business and technology teams on best practises for licence management.
- Optimize licensing and subscription costs and present progress reports to management.
- Steering by actively supporting audits and conducting informed and structured negotiations with software suppliers.
- Maintain collaboration with business unit management and internal teams.

Prerequisites
- Solid experience in managing licences and user agreements (approximately 7 to 8 years).
- Understand it architectures and their impact on licensing models.
- Master purchasing practises and related legal aspects (compliance, renewals, audits).
- Use analysis and reporting tools to track software assets.
- Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) certification from the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers (IAITAM) (or obtain it within 12 months of taking up your position).
