Join our team as a Reach Truck Operator in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and play a vital role in our logistics operations. We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious individual to manage the movement of goods within our warehouse using a reach truck. This position requires precision, efficiency, and a deep understanding of warehouse procedures and safety standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting, stacking, and retrieving materials at various heights, ensuring efficient use of warehouse space and timely order fulfillment. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain a smooth workflow and contribute to the overall success of our logistics network. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment. Key duties include:
- Operating a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve pallets and inventory in a safe and efficient manner.
- Adhering strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Performing pre-operation checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in good working order.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records through proper scanning and system updates.
- Assisting with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Organizing warehouse space to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Complying with all company policies and regulations related to warehouse operations and logistics.
