This position involves enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations to safeguard the American people.

• Enforcing laws and regulations at borders and ports of entry.


• Inspecting individuals, cargo, and conveyances for potential security threats or contraband.


• Determining admissibility of individuals entering the United States based on various factors such as nationality, intent to enter or remain in the country illegally (inadmissible), health conditions that pose a risk of disease transmission etc., previous convictions
  (or other grounds set forth by Immigration Statutes).

To be eligible for this Customs officer role you must have one year full-time general work experience equivalent to grade level GS-7 with skills demonstrating ability meet comply adhere deal. Similarly educational qualifications e.g.
bachelor's degree may provide sufficient learning application towards meeting career requirements (given specified context).
