Customs and Border Protection Officer positions are available for individuals who want to serve their country in a law enforcement capacity. As a CBPO, you will be responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations. Your duties may include inspecting individuals and conveyances, conducting interviews, and making rapid judgments to determine the admissibility of individuals into the United States.
The work is physically demanding and requires excellent physical fitness. You must have strong communication skills to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. A Bachelor's degree or higher in any field or two years of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level is required.
