About the Job:
CBP is seeking skilled professionals to join our team of Customs and Border Protection Officers (CBPOs). CBPOs are responsible for enforcing U.S. customs, immigration, and agriculture laws at various ports of entry throughout the country.
As a CBPO, you will be part of a highly trained workforce that strives to protect American interests by safeguarding our borders. You will work closely with other law enforcement agencies to prevent the illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods into the United States. Skills and Qualifications :
- You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three (3) of the last five (5) years.
- A minimum of one (1) year experience equivalent to at least GS-7 level in one or more areas: detaining suspected violators; enforcing laws relating to importing/exporting merchandise; utilizing intelligence techniques/behavior analysis; conducting interviews as LEO capacity;
