Customs and Border Protection Officer
A challenging role exists for a motivated individual to work within the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) team, enforcing laws and regulations related to international trade.
To succeed in this position, you will be responsible for detaining suspected violators of federal laws, conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances, facilitating legitimate trade and travel while preventing smuggling activities.
- Detain suspects using proper law enforcement methods
- Enforce customs laws on imported/exported goods
- Analyze intelligence data to identify potential threats
The CBP offers its officers an array of benefits including competitive salary ranging from $61k-$124k/year based on grade level GS-9.
Pensions are available as well. Officers are also eligible for career advancement through progressive promotions without needing reapplication after each milestone achieved successfully once basic qualification has been attained beforehand!
