Customs and Border Protection Officer Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Customs and Border Protection team as a law enforcement officer responsible for safeguarding America's borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity.

The main responsibilities of this role include enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations, facilitating legitimate trade and travel, conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances, determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States preventing illegal entry of individuals prohibited goods smuggling drugs contraband. This position also involves working with various stakeholders including government agencies other organizations to achieve common goals.

• A bachelor’s degree or four years equivalent in any field leading to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college university;
• A minimum three full-time general work experience demonstrating ability meet deal people learn apply body facts;
• Six months specialized work experience performing physical inspections evaluating documents reviewing documentation applying Federal State local laws regulations making determinations compliance laws resulting fines penalties arrest seizure property possession viewing executions rules examination cargo bags merchandise relevant offenses;
