• Safeguard U.S. borders by enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws.


• Facilitate legitimate trade and travel while preventing illicit activity.


• Detect potential threats using intelligence techniques and behavior analysis.


• Carry out law enforcement duties including detaining suspected violators and conducting interviews.

• Must have at least one year of specialized experience or meet education requirements (master's degree or higher).

The position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions; candidates must apply before reaching 40 years old except if previously served in a federal civilian law enforcement position.
