Join us at the First Nations Financial Management Board (FMB), where we support First Nations to strengthen their governance and financial practices. Since our establishment in 2006 under the First Nations Fiscal Management Act, we have been dedicated to providing fully optional tools and services tailored to meet the unique needs of First Nations communities.

What You Will Do
Oversee the coordination of events including conferences, seminars, dinners, and training sessions, ensuring seamless progress.
In collaboration with other business lines, manage internal and external event communications including promotional materials.
Source venues, obtain quotes and conduct site visits; managing vendors and suppliers.
Administers event budget and ensures it is maximized.
Maintains detailed and accurate event files such as exhibitor databases, contract, and financial information.
Co-ordinates the delivery of materials to events.
Provides administrative support to other members of event planning staff.
Provides reports on events which include obstacles encountered and opportunities for improvement.
Delivers excellent client service throughout the client or potential client experience.
Stays available to solve problems and/or suggest alternatives to previous arrangements.
Assists on-site during events as needed.
Who You Are
Post-secondary education in in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related discipline.
Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience coordinating events.
Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills
Outstanding oral and written communication capabilities in English; French a strong asset.
Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize multiple events and deadlines.
Proven experience managing budgets.
Experience working in an Indigenous environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Must have an understanding, awareness and appreciation of Indigenous culture and history.
Willingness to participate in ongoing education and training for the role including Indigenous Cultural studies.
