We are hiring a Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials. Your proficiency will ensure smooth operations within our logistics network, from receiving inbound goods to preparing outbound shipments. We are looking for individuals with a strong safety record, excellent mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Adherence to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is critical. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Stack and retrieve inventory from various levels.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of materials moved and inventory placement.
- Follow all Safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and hazard awareness.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Participate in ongoing Safety and operational training.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform required physical tasks, including occasional Lifting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Commitment to Safety and accident prevention.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in wearing and utilizing required PPE.
