We are looking for a skilled Reach Truck Operator to join our logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to efficiently move, stack, and retrieve materials within our warehouse facility. This position requires precision, a strong understanding of warehouse safety, and the ability to navigate narrow aisles at height. Your primary focus will be on optimizing storage space and ensuring the timely movement of goods to support our fulfillment operations. We are committed to maintaining a safe working environment and provide all necessary training, equipment, and PPE. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to move, stack, and retrieve inventory at various heights.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage locations.
- Ensure accurate placement of inventory according to warehouse layout and system.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on the reach truck to ensure safety and functionality.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Properly use all required PPE during operation and while performing other tasks.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck is essential.
- Certification as a reach truck operator is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to work at heights and navigate narrow aisles.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Physical ability to perform warehouse tasks, including occasional lifting.
- Understanding of proper lifting techniques.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and the use of PPE.
This role is key to our logistics operations, and we emphasize safety above all. Adherence to all safety guidelines, proper lifting practices, and the consistent use of PPE are mandatory.
