Mission Statement:
At the U.S. Border Patrol, our mission is to protect and serve the American people by safeguarding our borders from those who would do us harm. As a BPA, you will play an integral role in carrying out this critical responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Detect and question individuals suspected of violating immigration laws.
- Inspect documents and possessions for citizenship or violations.
- Prevent and apprehend aliens at or near the border using covert surveillance methods.
Qualifications:
Note that no education substitutions are available for these positions . GL-9 applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level while performing duties like searching detained individuals' vehicles & surroundings.
For GS-11 consideration with prior LEO/military law enforcement experience,
you must demonstrate ability utilizing intel info on tracking operations,
leading investigations as state,federal,military law official
