• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws by inspecting documents and possessions.
• Preventing and apprehending aliens at or near the borders through surveillance from covert positions.
• Interpreting physical evidence of illegal entry to track down violators.
• Conducting farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, and transportation checks as assigned.
