Casual Direct Support Professional Durham

This is a permanent casual position in Pickering, ON, which includes days, evenings, weekends and overnight shifts. The rate of pay is $22.53 / hr. Full G license preferred. We are accepting applications until March 1, 2026

Working with persons supported with Behavioral Support Plan and various direct care needs, and high medical needs. May be required to drive 4 hours within a shift and travel up to places like Hamilton and Peterborough for day trips. Supporting persons with community activities as required.  

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL
Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Direct Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development.

Requirements:

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
• Access to reliable transportation

Preferred:

• 3-6 Months Experience 
• Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field
