What you'll do:

  • Lead and Develop:  Coach, mentor, and develop a team of learning partners, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

  • Needs Assessment & Strategic Alignment:  Partner with business leaders to identify performance gaps, analyze learning needs, and develop targeted solutions aligned with strategic objectives.

  • Design & Development:  Oversee the design, development, and implementation of engaging learning programs using various methods (instructor-led training, e-learning, blended learning, microlearning, simulations, on-the-job training).

  • Content Strategy:  Lead the development and curation of high-quality, relevant learning resources that are engaging and aligned with adult learning principles. Ensure materials address the unique challenges of our frontline retail teams.

  • Technology Integration:  Explore and implement innovative learning technologies and platforms to enhance the learning experience and maximize program impact. Stay informed about learning and AI innovations.

  • Measurement & Evaluation:  Establish a robust evaluation framework to measure program effectiveness, track KPIs, and demonstrate ROI. Utilize data to improve program design and delivery continuously.

  • Stakeholder Management:  Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including leadership, HR, subject matter experts, and external vendors.

  • Budget Management:  Manage the learning and development budget effectively, maximizing return on investment.

  • Future Strategy and Evolution:  Stay informed about industry trends and proactively identify opportunities to innovate and enhance the organization's learning strategy.

Who You Are:

  • Learning Professional: Education or equivalent experience in Adult Learning, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.

  • Experienced Leader: 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in learning and development, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced retail or related industry. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of learning professionals.

  • Strategic Thinker & Consultant: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to translate business needs into impactful learning solutions. The ability to act as a trusted advisor to the business, proactively identifying learning needs and proposing innovative solutions, with a keen understanding of when to leverage various learning modalities for maximum impact.

  • Creative & Innovative: Passionate about exploring new learning technologies and methodologies.

  • Relationship Builder: Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Excellent Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Project Management Expert: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Financial Acumen: Experience managing budgets and resources effectively.

  • Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
