Position Summary
We transform airport experiences. You drive it.
An OTG Prep Cook assists Cooks and Chefs with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, station set-up, washing, portioning, boning, slicing, and dicing meats and vegetables—all with the goal of providing an excellent customer experience. Performs station breakdown and cleanup. Pay rate $18.30 hourly
Responsibilities
Quality Standards: Follows recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
Inventory Management: Receives, labels, dates, rotates, and refrigerates all products to ensure freshness.
Production: Follows prep bar lists and prioritizes production to avoid product run-outs.
Maintenance: Cleans and maintains prep area (utensils, prep table, equipment, floors, and walls).
Execution: Prepares and plates specific menu items according to specifications.
Safety: Ensures safety and sanitation standards are maintained; properly uses personal protective equipment (PPE).
Teamwork: Fulfills additional responsibilities as requested by kitchen personnel and management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Skills: Knowledge of professional cooking, knife handling, and major kitchen equipment.
Compliance: Knowledge of safety, food handling, and local/state/federal health and sanitation laws.
Performance: Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a team environment.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for an entire shift.
Lifting: Ability to transport up to 50 lbs. occasionally and 35 lbs. regularly.
Availability: Must be able to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and during inclement weather.
