The Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officer is responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws while facilitating legitimate trade and travel. Key responsibilities include inspecting individuals, conveyances, and cargo/bags/merchandise to determine admissibility into the United States. Additionally, CBPOs work towards preventing illegal entry attempts by ensuring compliance with regulations.
