This role is part of the Department of Homeland Security workforce, protecting American interests and securing our nation.
The position involves enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations. You will facilitate the flow of legitimate trade and travel while conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances.
Required Skills:
- A minimum one-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes detaining suspected violators using proper law enforcement methods.
- Enforcing laws relating to importing/exporting merchandise from/to United States.
Benefits:
- An annual base salary for newly appointed CBPOs varies between $61,111 - $124,443 per year.
Qualifications:
You must have a valid US citizenship to apply for this position.
The applicants with primary US residency (including protectorates) for at least three years out of five are considered eligible.
