Part-time short-form video editor + Instagram/TikTok manager (US Eastern Time)
Overview
I'm launching and scaling two new brands and maintaining a third, and I need a reliable, creative operator to own Instagram and TikTok execution.
• Brand A: a Shopify SaaS app (one app live now, more launching soon)
• Brand B: a consumer Shopify ecommerce brand
• Brand C: an ecommerce services brand (Instagram only, keep active)
These brands are early. Your work will directly support getting sales off the ground by driving Shopify app installs (Brand A) and ecommerce purchases (Brand B), while keeping Brand C's Instagram consistently active with repurposed content.
This is a build-and-activate role. I need someone who can move quickly, test hooks, iterate weekly, and turn rough inputs into content that performs.
Time zone requirement
Must work primarily in US Eastern Time (ET), or have overlapping hours (at least 4 hours/day overlap).
Hours
10 to 20 hours/week to start (can increase if it's a strong fit).

What you'll own
Brand A (Shopify SaaS)
• Turn app demos and feature walkthroughs into short-form videos (15 to 60 seconds)
• Create content that communicates the problem, the fix, and the outcome fast
• Build repeatable formats: "before/after," "3 mistakes," "watch this fix your cart," "quick teardown style"
• Help shape a weekly content plan focused on installs and activation
Brand B (Shopify consumer ecommerce)
• Create and publish short-form content optimized for IG Reels and TikTok
• Mix product storytelling, trend formats, and repeatable series
• Maintain cadence and improve creative based on performance
Brand C (Services brand, Instagram only)
• Keep the channel active with consistent Reels/short clips and simple posts
• Repurpose approved content and edits from Brand A and/or founder clips when relevant
• Maintain brand consistency and basic cadence (this is not a full growth mandate)
Across all brands
• Manage a weekly content calendar and posting schedule for IG/TikTok (and Brand C IG)
• Write hooks, on-screen text, captions, and natural CTAs
• Handle editing, posting, and weekly iteration based on performance
• Track weekly results (views, retention, saves, follows, clicks), propose next tests

Deliverables and cadence (initial targets)
• Brand A: 2 to 4 short videos/week
• Brand B: 3 to 5 short videos/week
• Brand C (IG): 1 to 2 posts/week (mostly repurposed, keep-active cadence)
• Weekly recap: what posted, what performed, what to test next

Skills and experience
Must-have
• Strong short-form editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, or similar)
• Great pacing and hook instincts for IG/TikTok
• Clean on-screen text and caption design
• Comfortable working from rough inputs (raw clips, Loom videos, bullet points)
• Organized, dependable, hits deadlines without hand-holding
Nice-to-have
• Experience with Shopify brands or Shopify apps
• Experience driving actions (installs, clicks, purchases), not just views
• Familiarity with scheduling tools (Metricool, Later, Buffer, native schedulers)
• Basic motion graphics for callouts and highlights

• Google Drive (assets)
• Google Docs
• Slack for quick feedback
• Your editing tool of choice
• IG/TikTok native scheduling

How we'll work
• I provide: raw clips, product info, weekly priorities, approvals
• You own: ideas, hooks, editing, posting, and weekly iteration
• 1 weekly sync (20 minutes) + async feedback

Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
