Warehouse Technician

Responsible for fulfillment of client orders and other duties.

·       Gathers supplies for orders in preparation for shipment/delivery and performs quality checks.

·       Assembles, labels, and provides supplies as required.

·       Participates in quality assurance activities as directed.

·       Uses Inventory management systems to pick inventory.

·       Ensures inventory is maintained on the shelf for packing customer orders and shelves are properly labelled.

·       Performs general housekeeping duties in the department on daily basis.

·       Files documents appropriately.

·       Verifies information on packing slip to ensure that the correct product is being sent to the correct recipients.

·       Maintain freezer packs in sufficient quantity and quality to ensure temperature-controlled shipping.

·       Participate in ongoing training required due to revision of Standard Operating Procedures.

·       Participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance activities education programs and department/ branch meetings.

·       Nice to have forklift experience.

·       Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities Specific to Warehouse and Dex Staff are as follows:

·       Willingness to work for extended periods in cold environments (walk-in coolers) while handling and packaging pharmaceutical products.

·       Ability to maintain focus, attention to detail, and adherence to GMP or applicable regulatory guidelines, while working in temperature-controlled settings.

·       Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks in cooler conditions, including the use of appropriate PPE.

·       High school diploma or equivalent.

·       Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

·       Basic computer skills.

·       Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

·       Ability to organize workload for efficient use of time.

·       Ability to function independently.

·       Organized and disciplined.

Physical Demands

·       The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers.

·       The employee frequently is required to talk or hear.

·       The employee is required to stand, bend, walk, crouch, and sit.

·       Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

·       Ability to lift upto 50 lbs is required for this role and employee must notify supervisor regarding any health issues that may affect ability to lift.

Work Environment

·       The employee occasionally works near moving parts.

·       The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.

·       Familiarity with Good Manufacturing (GMP) or applicable Regulatory Guidelines, particularly regarding temperature-controlled storage and handling of pharmaceutical products (a must requirement for Warehouse and Dex employees).

·       Employees working in warehouse operations are required to wear and properly use all essential or required personal protective equipment (PPE) as outlined by their department leader and in accordance with the employer's safety requirements. This obligation applies to current PPE requirements and any future revisions necessary to maintain compliance with applicable occupational health and safety legislation and regulations.
