About the Role

If you love solving problems, helping people, and diving into new technology, you'll feel right at home with us. As a Support Specialist at Great White North, you'll be the friendly, knowledgeable first point of contact for our clients. You'll troubleshoot issues, deploy new workstations, keep systems running smoothly, and make sure every client interaction leaves a great impression.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical support in person, over the phone, and through remote tools
  • Respond to client requests quickly and professionally
  • Answer incoming calls to the Great White North main line
  • Setup and deploy desktops and laptops (onsite and remote)
  • Transport equipment to and from client or company locations
  • Administer and maintain client and internal disaster recovery solutions
  • Perform backup restores as needed
  • Support client servers and network solutions for standard requests
  • Monitor the RMM suite and address alerts
  • Work with third‑party vendors for warranty or software issues
  • Respond to after‑hours mission‑critical requests when required
  • Track time accurately in our PSA platform
  • Update and create internal documentation
  • Contribute to refining KPIs and improving processes
  • Travel out of town occasionally as needed

What You Bring

  • Experience supporting end‑users and documenting solutions
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows Server/Desktop, cloud services, Office apps, networking, VoIP, backups, and security tools
  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills
  • A client‑first mindset and a passion for going the extra mile
  • Curiosity, courage, and a willingness to ask for help when needed
  • A desire to continually learn new technologies
  • Strong attention to detail

Extra Great (Nice to Have)

  • Experience in an MSP environment
  • Familiarity with CRM or PSA tools
  • Previous helpdesk or IT support experience
  • Valid Ontario driver's license
