What this job involves:

We are seeking a dynamic Property Manager to lead the strategic management of a diverse commercial portfolio spanning nearly 600,000 square feet across the GTA and Barrie. Based in our East York property management office, you'll serve as the cornerstone of tenant satisfaction and operational excellence, leveraging your expertise in property accounting and financial management to optimize portfolio performance while building lasting relationships with tenants, vendors, and stakeholders. We're looking for a proven property management professional who thrives in collaborative environments and is passionate about delivering exceptional service, combining strong financial acumen with outstanding interpersonal skills to create meaningful value for our clients and tenants every day.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Manage daily operations and maintenance of assigned property portfolio, ensuring cost-effective operations and quality service delivery
  • Oversee small team and assist with property administration
  • Prepare and monitor annual operating budgets, capital budgets, and monthly variance reports while minimizing accounts receivable liability
  • Negotiate, review, and supervise service contracts and maintenance agreements to ensure optimal value and service levels
  • Build and maintain strong tenant relationships through regular communication, prompt issue resolution, and organized events and presentations
  • Coordinate with leasing teams and brokers to support successful leasing initiatives and achieve occupancy objectives
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety policies, and implement staff training programs
  • Partner with Operations Supervisor/Manager to oversee staffing, building systems, equipment, and parking facility operations
  • Liaise with management, consultants, and professionals on insurance matters, liability issues, and incident investigations
  • Maintain visibility and availability to tenants while implementing service quality programs and supporting company standards

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive commercial property management experience
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget preparation and variance analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for tenant relations and team collaboration
  • Knowledge of building operations, maintenance practices, and service contract management
  • Understanding of environmental regulations, health and safety compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to travel between properties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional property management certification (CPM, RPA, or ARM) preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or related field

Estimated compensation for this position:

95,000.00 – 120,000.00 CAD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
