We currently have a live WordPress website built with WPBakery page builder that recently experienced compatibility issues after updates. The site is now restored and stable, but the stack is outdated and fragile.
I want to rebuild the website onto a modern, stable WordPress setup (likely Elementor) while keeping the same domain and preserving SEO rankings.
This is NOT a full redesign.
This is a technical rebuild + migration.
Goals:
Recreate the current website structure and style (not redesign from scratch)
Improve speed, stability and maintainability
Make the site easy for me to edit content myself
Preserve Google rankings, indexed pages and domain authority
Prepare the site for future SEO growth
Scope:
Build new site on staging or subdomain first
Recreate pages using Elementor (or similar modern builder)
Migrate images and important content
Optimise performance and Core Web Vitals
Implement proper caching and clean plugin stack
Prepare SEO-friendly structure
Very important:
I also want to expand into proper service pages and service-area pages (for example: loft conversion Wimbledon, house extension Clapham, builder Wandsworth etc).

How do you migrate a WordPress site without losing rankings?
How do you handle URL mapping and 301 redirects?
How do you ensure existing indexed pages remain indexed?
Do you use a staging environment before going live?
How do you check and fix issues in Google Search Console after launch?
What theme and plugin stack would you use with Elementor and why?
What Core Web Vitals/PageSpeed scores do you normally achieve?
I am not looking for a graphic designer — I am looking for someone experienced in WordPress rebuilds and SEO-safe migrations for local service businesses.
Please briefly describe similar projects you have completed.
Budget: approx £800–£1000 depending on experience and scope.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months.
