All source material is already organised in a clear folder structure (link included in this job post). Inside those folders you'll also find two reference videos showing the exact format for the two video types. It's essential that your edits match the reference videos 1:1 (timing, sequence, logo placement, end bumper, tab placement, colour look, etc.).
Scope
- 15 different guitar riffs
- 2 versions per riff
- Total: 30 videos
Output format / platforms
Vertical video for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Facebook
Export as MP4 (H.264) with bitrate similar to the reference videos (overall output quality should match the references)
Video types (must match the references exactly)
1) Performance video
- Start with camera 1 (guitarist plays the riff once)
- Cut to camera 2 (guitarist plays the riff 2–3 more times)
- Transition to the explanation section: a different guitarist plays the riff briefly once more
- Finish with the bumper
- Tablature overlay at the top: place it exactly like the reference. The tablature comes from a PDF in the Performance Videos folder.
- Important: tab placement must stay within title-safe area with consistent top/side margins, matching the reference layout precisely.
2) Play-along video
- Start briefly on camera 1, but mostly camera 2 throughout
- Scrolling/rolling tablature: use the screen grab video located in the Play Along Video folder for the respective song
- Uses the same audio as the performance video (see below)
Audio & sync
In the Audio folder there is one full-length audio file per song. This audio must be used for both the performance and the play-along versions. Syncing can be mostly automatic, but it must be carefully checked and, if needed, manually corrected to ensure everything is perfectly tight.
Branding / finishing
Logo and bumper placement exactly as in the reference
Each video should end with a short fade-out so it can loop cleanly
All editing style choices (pacing, transitions, text/graphics behaviour) should follow the reference videos—no additional effects beyond that.
Colour correction (important)
The videos need consistent colour and contrast across the full set and must be matched to the reference videos (basic correction + matching between cameras where needed).
Requirements
DaVinci Resolve (mandatory)
Proven experience with short social / educational edits
High attention to detail: exact matching to the reference edit is crucial
Musical knowledge is a plus, guitar knowledge in particular is preferred
Deliverables
For each video, please deliver:
- Final MP4 export
- A DaVinci Resolve file so I can make small adjustments myself: Resolve Project Archive (.dra) per riff (preferred)
File naming convention (mandatory)
Please name files as:
SongName_Riff01_Performance_v1.mp4
SongName_Riff01_PlayAlong_v1.mp4
…and the same naming for the corresponding .dra archives.
Review / revision round
This project includes one revision round, meaning: one consolidated feedback pass from me across all videos, followed by your implementation of the requested changes.
File delivery (Dropbox)
Final files must be uploaded to a separate folder within the same Dropbox folder that contains the raw material (everything stays within that Dropbox structure).
Deadline
All edits must be completed within 10 days from the start date.
Ongoing work
I have much more material of this kind in production. If the collaboration works well for both sides, there is strong potential for ongoing work in the same style.
To apply (important)
Please include in your proposal:
- Links to 1–3 relevant edits (ideally music lessons / performance / multicam)
- Confirmation you work in DaVinci Resolve
- A short note on how you ensure 1:1 matching to a reference video (your workflow)
- Whether you have experience with guitar / music editing (yes/no + brief details)
Dropbox link with material:
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: DaVinci Resolve, Video Editing, Video Post-Editing
Sprachkenntnisse
