This is NOT a large enterprise system, but it is production and actively used.
We need an experienced backend/AWS engineer who can jump in immediately and help stabilize the system.
Our stack:
- Frontend: React + TypeScript
- Backend: (Fastify) on AWS ECS Fargate
- Database: Aurora PostgreSQL
- Queue: SQS
- Cache: Redis (ElastiCache)
- AI: AWS Textract + Anthropic Claude via AWS Bedrock
- Internal alerts via Power Automate
This morning we deployed a change that expanded the Claude prompt by adding historical loan summaries and compliance notes. Since then, we've experienced the following issues:
- Loan processing time increased from around 3 minutes to 12–15 minutes
- SQS queue depth keeps growing
- ECS auto-scaled from 2 to 6 tasks
- Aurora CPU and connections spiked
- Duplicate risk summaries are appearing in the database
- Power Automate triggered duplicate alerts
We need someone who can start immediately, connect to our operations machine via AnyDesk, review the AWS environment, identify the root cause, and stabilize production safely.
Requirements:
- Strong AWS experience (ECS, SQS, RDS, Redis)
- Solid production debugging experience
- Experience with AWS Bedrock / Anthropic Claude preferred
- Comfortable working in a live production environment
- Able to communicate clearly during troubleshooting
This is an urgent fix. If things go well, we will likely extend into a longer-term architecture improvement contract.
