This model must not be a simple tracker — it must be a robust, dynamic, professional financial tool that:
Core Requirements
Tracks projects across multiple dimensions:
• Project hours (planned vs actual)
• Budgeted hours and dollar value
• Variances (hours & cost)
• Actuals (labor, billable, non-labor expenses)
Captures resource utilization
• Person-level tracking
• Hourly billing rates + fully burdened labor rates (salary + fringe + overhead)
• Totals by person, by project
Delivers project roll-ups
• Project-level dashboards
• Portfolio level (all projects) summaries
Integrates with financial reporting tab in the Excel or other file. Tableau/other tools acceptable as well.
• Company-level summary tab
• Automated contribution to:
• Income Statement (P&L)
• Cash Flow Statement
• Balance Sheet
Flexible to use for both Government (State/Federal) and Commercial engagements or 2 separate files
• Ideally with separate tabs/templates for each type of engagement
• Ability to switch between and consolidate
It must also be able to assist me in pricing propsals based on the costs and desired gross and/or net margin
Must be well-documented and easily maintainable by a non-technical partner.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 10 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: Financial Analysis, Financial Modeling, Forecasting, Business Plan
