Über
The primary role revolves around three core tasks:
1) Script formatting & image location: Preparing video scripts for production and sourcing accurate images based on the content of the script.
2) Article creation: Writing an engaging, SEO-friendly article for the website based on the content of the script.
3) Newsletter creation: Creating a value-driven, promotional newsletter from the article for our email list.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Script Formatting & Image Sourcing: Format scripts in Word for teleprompter use. This includes adding single blank lines after every line of text and ensuring important on-screen text is bolded. You must also find suitable, high-quality, cropped, and royalty-free images based on placeholders. Crucially, you must be able to accurately source specific macro-economic charts, graphs, and crypto data based on the context of the script, rather than just inserting generic stock images that are not based on the content of the script.
2. Content Repurposing (Article): Convert the final video script into a well-structured, flawless blog post/article. You will also need to adapt image placeholders for the web by writing descriptive, SEO-friendly captions and ensuring sources come from official websites rather than competitor crypto news channels.
3. Content Repurposing (Newsletter): Condense the core value of the article into a concise, engaging, and promotional newsletter summary designed to deliver value to our email list.
Future Growth:
This role certainly has the potential to expand for the right candidate to include creating YouTube descriptions and timestamps/chapters for the final video, helping manage our content calendar, and managing our courses.
Requirements:
- Outstanding attention to detail: This is the most critical requirement. You must be able to spot discrepancies in financial charts and meticulously follow a formatting style guide.
- Language Skills: Flawless, ideally native, written UK English skills.
- Communication & Availability: You must be a proactive communicator who goes the extra mile. The ability to work and communicate at short notice (including some work over weekends to meet publishing deadlines) is required.
- Domain Knowledge: Some knowledge of cryptocurrency and macro-finance is required. You don't need to be an expert, but you must understand the topics enough to source accurate data and write coherent articles.
- Technical: Proficiency with MS Word / Google Docs.
