We are an established e-commerce brand targeting the Canada, USA markets. We are seeking a highly skilled individual developer for a long-term collaboration.
This role requires a developer who takes full ownership, delivers production-ready work, and ensures flawless functionality before deployment. We value stability, performance, clean architecture, and attention to detail.
**Agencies may apply only if a single dedicated senior developer will be assigned to this project.**
Scope of Work
1. WordPress Development (Primary Focus)
Build a fully responsive WordPress website
Implement secure booking system functionality
Integrate seamless payment gateway processing
Develop custom themes or optimize premium themes as required
Ensure mobile-first responsiveness across all devices
Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code
2. Shopify Development (Ongoing)
Customize and optimize Shopify stores
Improve checkout experience and product page performance
Integrate apps without affecting speed or stability
Maintain scalable architecture for growth
3. Booking & Payment Systems
Set up and configure booking workflows (appointments, availability, confirmations)
Secure payment integration (Stripe, PayPal, or similar)
Ensure transaction reliability and data security
Test full booking-to-payment user flow before delivery
4. Technical SEO & Performance
Optimize Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP, TTFB)
Implement structured data and schema markup (error-free validation)
Ensure proper indexing, canonical tags, redirects
Validate Rich Results eligibility
Configure XML sitemaps and properly
Maintain fast load times and server efficiency
5. UI/UX & Conversion Optimization
Implement modern, high-converting design
Follow current North American e-commerce UX standards
Optimize booking and checkout experience
Improve user flow and reduce friction
6. QA & Deployment Standards
All features must be fully tested before delivery:
Functionality testing (end-to-end flows)
Booking workflow testing
Payment transaction testing
Cross-browser testing
Cross-device testing
Speed testing
SEO validation
Edge case scenario testing
Deliverables must be stable, secure, and production-ready.

Required Skills
5+ years advanced WordPress development
Experience building booking systems
Experience integrating secure payment gateways
Strong Shopify development experience
Strong knowledge of PHP, Liquid, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
Deep understanding of Technical SEO and Core Web Vitals
Experience working with staging environments
Strong debugging skills
