**About the Role**
We're looking for an Automation Specialist with hands-on experience in n8n to design, build, and maintain automated workflows that streamline our internal operations and product processes. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify manual bottlenecks and turn them into efficient, reliable automation pipelines.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, and deploy automation workflows using n8n (self-hosted or cloud)
- Integrate third-party tools and APIs (CRMs, databases, communication platforms, etc.) into seamless end-to-end workflows
- Identify repetitive manual processes across departments and propose automation solutions
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot existing workflows to ensure reliability and performance
- Document all workflows, logic, and integrations clearly for team reference
- Collaborate with developers, operations, and business teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Evaluate and implement new nodes, plugins, or custom code (JavaScript/Python) when native nodes don't cover the use case
- Ensure data security and compliance best practices are followed within all automation flows
**Required Skills & Experience**
- Proven hands-on experience building workflows in n8n (portfolio or examples strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON data structures
- Proficiency in JavaScript (and/or Python) for writing custom function nodes
- Experience integrating tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, HubSpot, Airtable, Notion, PostgreSQL, or similar
- Familiarity with self-hosting n8n via Docker or similar containerized environments
- Solid understanding of data mapping, error handling, and conditional logic in workflow design
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
**Nice to Have**
- Experience with other automation platforms (Make, Zapier, Airflow) for cross-platform context
- Basic knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with version control (Git) for workflow backup and collaboration
- Background in business process analysis or operations
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months.
