Overview of Position:

Cobra Mechanical is currently seeking a Journeyman Electrician – Foreman to lead and support our electrical teams across various residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The Foreman will oversee day-to-day field operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Cobra's high-quality standards. This role is responsible for supervising apprentices and journeymen, coordinating manpower and materials, interpreting drawings and specifications, and ensuring projects progress according to schedule. The ideal candidate is an experienced Red Seal Electrician who excels in leadership, communication, and problem-solving in the field. Cobra Mechanical proudly serves Northern Manitoba communities as well as Winnipeg and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and mentor electrical apprentices and journeypersons on project sites.
• Assign daily tasks, provide clear direction, and ensure safe, high-quality workmanship.
• Support employee development and promote a positive team environment.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment required for electrical installations and repairs.
• Work with Project Managers and Site Leadership to ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope.
• Review plans, blueprints, specifications, and project documentation.
• Ensure all installations meet Canadian electrical codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Perform inspections and quality checks throughout all project phases.
• Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and tracking of project progress.
• Enforce Cobra's safety policies, safe work procedures, and jobsite protocols.
• Participate in on-site hazard assessments, safety meetings, and incident investigations.
• Promote a culture of safety and accountability.

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Journeyman Construction Electrician certification required
• 5+ years of electrical experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or foreman capacity
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Experience in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical applications
• Additional safety certifications (e.g., First Aid, Fall Protection, WHMIS) are assets

Schedule:

• 10-hour shift
